Peppermint Hot Chocolate in a Jar Teacher Gift

So I always like to make a little something for the kids' teachers and support staff at Christmas time, and I thought some peppermint hot chocolate in a jar gifts seemed to be the perfect thing this year to warm up after all of the cold weather and snow we've been having! I added a mini bottle of Baileys to add even more yumminess!

It's pretty easy to make, but I will go over how I made ours in case you want to make your own!  These are a beautiful gift to have on hand for teachers or neighbours and they also make a great hostess gift!

  • Jars with lids
  • Hot chocolate
  • Candy canes
  • Dark chocolate
  • Marshmallows
  • Burlap ribbon
  • Gift tags
  • Mini bottles of Baileys

Our jars make 2 servings, so I added 2 packages of the Carnation Hot Chocolate to the jars. I cut up dark chocolate to add on top of the hot chocolate mix then added in some broken candy cane bits and topped it with large marshmallows.

My burpap ribbon was too wide so I cut it in half, tied it around the jar, and then tied on the mini Baileys bottles. I wrote the directions on the gift tag and tied it to the burlap ribbon. I also made up mini Christmas card photos of the kids and adhered them to the back of the tag. I also attached a gift card the back of one of the tags.

The jars I chose had chalkboard paint on the front, so I added the teachers' names with a chalkboard felt pen.
