How to Make a DIY Fall Wreath

As much as I love the lazy, carefree days of summer with the kids, it's time to bid farewell to summer and welcome in fall! What better way to get into the fall season than to make a DIY Fall Branch Wreath for the front door! I love the fall colors and the wreath brings them all together so nicely.

I used a grapevine branch wreath as the base and found it on sale at our local Michael's store! I found a variety of leaf styles and colors as well as some berry pics.

I started off by cutting all of the branches off of the main stems. I then just started to tuck the stems into the branches of the wreath and played around with placement until I was happy with how it looked. I used floral wire (22 gauge) &/or a hot glue gun as needed to hold everything in place.

Once I had all of the branches in place I cut the berries apart and added them throughout the wreath.

After I was finished it seemed like something was missing. I knew I wanted to include some mini gourds, so I went back to Michael's and found a small decorative fall stem for under $2. I cut the two pumpkins off the stems and placed them into my wreath!

I love how this DIY fall wreath turned out especially on our burgundy front door! I would love to decorate the front porch with pumpkins and beautiful planters full of plants, but that may have to wait until next year.

I hope this has inspired you to make a fall wreath for your front door! I would love to see how you decorate for fall! Leave me a note in the comments or visit me on Facebook @ellabelladesignsbyann or Instagram @ellabella.designs.
