UPDATE: I have posted a four part series where I tour you around my Creative Scrapbook Space! Click here to view series.
I thought it was about time that I let you have a peek at my "new" scrap space!!!! I say "new" even though it's been almost one year since I moved my scrapbook space into the kids' playroom! The space never did get organized like I wanted and it became a dumping ground for everything. I have managed to do the odd small craft project & I turned my space into wrapping central for the holidays, but other than that nothing else has been happening in here. The playroom has been much of the same with toys strewn about haphazardly. But, finally, I am happy to say that I finally took the bull by the horns and organized my scrapbook space as well as the kids' playroom!! Whew!
There are still quite a few things I would like to do in here, but time is so precious these days that I likely won't get it done anytime soon. So it is with that realization I decided to finally share my space with you all!! Finished or not! :-)
I have a great little craft area set up for my daughter, as she is just very artistic and I wanted to give her her own space for creating! I have given her ample amounts of craft supplies and have organized them for her, so she can create away as much as she wants! I am excited that Tuesday afternoons have been designated Mummy & Daughter Craft Day, as the little guy is in daycare for the day so it is just her and I once I pick her up from school. (I will definitely try to share those creations with you!) There is hardly enough time in a day but I am happily enjoying spending it with the kids creating memories!
Without further ado, here are the before & after pictures...enjoy! Perhaps I will go into greater detail on my organizing, but for now I will just let you have a look around!

And now for a truly before before photo as it was getting painted. You can't see the new lighting in the above after photos, but the small lighting fixture in the photo below was replaced with two natural flourescent light fixtures; so the lighting in here is super nice!
Updated to add this great tutorial on making your own Quilted French Memory Board to decorate your space!!

EXCELLENT use of space! I especially love how you've used the smaller shelves to divide the areas and make a little walkway, very clever. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow...your space is fantastic! You sure do have a lot of supplies and they are all out where you can see them so no more excuses for NOT creating...remember...JUST DO IT! Very nice ;)
ReplyDeleteFondly, Roberta
I am in complete awe! Such a great space to have, I am so excited you linked up and shared! I am drooling over all that storage and all that you have done with the space to make it so functional!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
Thank you all so very much for your kind comments! It feels so good to finally have this space organized!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful!! My scrapbooking space has always been in my kids playroom too, and in the past month both spaces have been moved to the basement. More space there, but a lot of organizing needs to be done! You have a lot of stuff here I want to copy!
